I am so tickled with the "little boy" shoulder pads. My grandson is only 5 years old and all the other type of shoulder pad were to big and heavy. These fit under his LSU football uniform and are so light weight he can play in them all day. Thanks for a great item.

What a hit with our grandson!!! He was so excited and wanted to wear the gear while he was eating but finally agreed to remove the helmet until after dinner. It was perfect for a 6-year-old and well made.

Fine for little kids to get the big shoulder look. But here are a few thoughts for the more discerning buyer:
1. shoulder pads are unstable on shoulders -- there are no straps to hold under the arm.
2. The foam isn\'t shaped well so it doesn\'t couture down in front and back. Your kids' jerseys will end up holding the pads down and in place but would have hoped for a better starting place with pads themselves.
3. Website delivery options all guaranteed by Christmas. They came after new year.

These are a great size and weight, and they do complete the look of the football costume. BUT... they would not stay in place. You would probably have to safetey pin them to a
t shirt or to the actual jersey to make them stay. In the chaos that is Halloween and 3 boys under 8, I wasn't so delighted with them, and my son ended up not wearing them. But, since his older brother plays football, I don't mind the investment, because we now have "pretend" pads which will assuredly be used again.
