Croquet Set, December 17, 2010This is a very well made set. The connection between the handle and the mallet is wood on wood, not made of plastic which has a tendency to break. The wickets are narrower than I am used to but are also a very sturdy metal. Overall, I’m very happy with the set and the timely delivery.
What I was searching for, June 17, 2010Since the time I broke my mallet on the second swing with my Fra**lin set I was willing to invest in a high quality set. I soon discovered you can spend up $5K on a set??!! After reading reviews, I settled on this set and am VERY happy with it. The key is the attachment of the shaft to the mallet head, and this set is very well machined and should last for years. The croquet balls are average in their finishing but otherwise everything appears of the highest quality. And, it didn't break on my second swing :-)
Awesome set, July 21, 2010Like most people, I first got a cheap'o Croquet set from a local store, then realized even though I only paid a few dollars, it was still a big waste. I did some extensive research & come accross the North Meadow Sets..."Bingo" found what I was looking for, an awesome American made quality set, the wood they use is awesome, the wickets are super heavy duty, ball's are perfect, somebody said the finish on the ball's could have been better, I guess if you wanted to enter them in a beauty contest you could easily buff'em up. I ordered my set on a early Thursday morning, Friday afternoon I was playing Croquet with the best set on the block, totally blown away.
Good value, September 14, 2010I'm happy with this croquet set. While more expensive than a cheap set, this croquet set has the feel of quality and it is less expensive than some sets that come with only 6 mallets & balls.
