Little League Approved Baseball BatsOn December 30, 2010 Little League International expanded its moratorium on composite baseball bats for all of its divisions. This moratorium applies to all baseball bats constructed with composite materials in the barrel, which may exceed the standards printed on the bat, after it's broken in. All composite baseball bats that fall under this description are no longer allowed in competitive play in any of the Little League divisions. New composite bats must now demonstrate, through specific laboratory testing, that they will not exceed this standard after break in, in order to be considered for approval by Little League International. Since manufacturers are continuously producing and upgrading bats, the list of approved composite and non-wood/non-composite bats, or those that have received waivers by Little League International, is changing every few weeks. Before purchasing a new bat for the 2011-2012 season, it is important to know that your bat has been approved for play. To make this understandably frustrating process a little easier, Sports Unlimited has grouped all of our approved bats together, right here, so you can be sure that the bat you choose is approved and good to go for this season!
