The Patagonia Women's Down Sweater is an ultralight jacket with highly compressible down insulation and a windproof shell for cold mountain pursuits. It delivers minimal weight, superb compressibility and high-loft warmth. The ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish does more than look sharp: It's tear-resistant and windproof and made from 100% all-recycled polyester. Details include top-quality 800-fill-power goose down, an updated fit and styling, quilted-through construction, two exterior zippered pockets and a stretch-mesh interior chest pocket that doubles as a zippered stuff sack with carabineer clip-in loop.

I'd give more stars if I could, December 10, 2011Posted By: Kat
This jacket is simply ideal for a cold, dry climate. It's light, surprisingly streamlined for a down jacket, and can be layered over a sweater or under a shell. It's well-made; the zipper is solid and the down stays put and doesn't leak. I was concerned it would tear easily, but the fabric is sturdier than it seems. It's even great looking, with a bright scarf and boots and skirt or with jeans. Can't say too many good things about this jacket!
