I needed a pair of ice skates I could use to take my kids to open skating. The rental skates always kill my feet, so someone told me about getting a soft-boot skate. I have only worn them once so far, but they were much better than the rentals. At first, there was a little breaking-in period, but when I was done skating, my feet didn't hurt at all. I'm looking forward to using them again.

I am by no means an "ice skater," but this year my dad bought a kit and made an ice rink in his yard. When I would take my kids out skating, I would wear whatever and whoever's skates I could find. They were all so uncomfortable that I dreaded going ice skating! I decided I was going to look for a comfortable pair of skates and a low price. I found these! The delivery was exactly when they said it would be. And when I first put them on, it was like stepping into a cotton cloud! I love this skates, and now I can outlast my kids on the ice! I highly recommend these ice skates!

I am a beginner and these skates work great for me. Just for the reference, they are a bit smaller than those (same size number) from another brand that one of my friends has. But these Riedell 625 skates fit my feet perfectly and I am quite confortable skating with them.
