Light on weight and heavy on TPU, the Schutt AiR XP Pro Youth Football Helmet arrives on the scene poised to become one of the most popular youth helmets ever. Schutt has packed +in the padding, adding its new Single Layer Dual Compression TPU into the helmet. The Single Layer DCT is ribbed and constructed in just one layer for even better protection. It protects against violent impacts and low-velocity blows that both occur during games. Now mechanically attached, this TPU is held securely in place and is thicker than ever. A traditional standoff shell and SUREFIT TPU AiR Liner provide the look you love and comfortable fit. The helmet also comes with 1 1/8" AiR Maxx TPU Jaw Pads and a youth soft cup chin strap.

Best Helmet in 106 degree Avg. Summer Temp! / Great protection and very comfortable
May 28, 2015
I purchased this Helmet last summer for my 12 year old sons 2014 Football Season (Youtube Channel Runzz21). I believe I actually purchased the 2012 model. Compared to the league issued helmet my son said it was 100X better and he never felt that it was too heavy or hot. He plays running back and as you can imagine he has taken a few blows to the head and never had any complaints of aches or pains (thank God!). Its ridiculousy hot here (Yuma AZ) during football season yet he never complained it was too hot in his helmet. I really liked the six vent holes on the crown of the Helmet they are the perfect size to squirt water through during game time to help keep him cool as well as vent the out the heat. This 2014 Model should be even better if the Air Liner is supposed to be even softer and more comfortable. Althought he originally wanted an ION 4D or Vengenance because of the looks he was very pleased with the perfomance and could appreciated the Old School Look (He actually thought it was cool because it stood out from the crowd lol). So if you want the best value, protection and performance this helmet is a must, especially for skilled position players. The overall low profile improves their mobility and visibility. My Son said he would forget it was even on and felt like it was apart of him.
Cool in Hot Temps, excellent protection, Light Weight, Visibility, Mobility, Best Protection by far for the money! Oh and if that wasn't enought ALOT OF COLLEGE and PRO's PLAYERS WEAR THIS HELMET!
Absolutely NONE!

Product Q & A
7 Questions | 8 Answers
Alex from Navarre,Florida asked:
What face masks fit this helmet?
Customer Service: Super-Pro facemasks fit the Air XP. If the shell is an xl, you will need a super pro xl mask, otherwise the regular super pro masks will fit all helmets, youth and adult, small- large.

Jason from Wallace asked:
How much does this weigh with a titanium facemask?
Customer Service: This helmet weighs 2.5 lbs without a facemask. Titanium facemasks range anywhere from 0.5 to 0.9 lbs depending on the style.

Brady from Iowa asked:
Does it come with a pump and lubricant
Customer Service: No, the pump and lubricant are sold separately. Many teams' coaches or equipment managers already have them.

Ryan from New Mexico asked:
Do adult facemasks fit on this also, or just youth facemasks??
Customer Service: Adult facemasks will fit on this helmet. (Super Pro or Super Pro XL depending on helmet size)

Jess from Pearl Harbor Hawaii asked:
I ordered this helmet for my Son today and I couldn't find in the details stating this helemt is a 2014 model. Is this the 2014 AiR XP PRO version? Also, will the helmet have a manufacturer sticker noting the date it was manufactured? Thanks in advance.
Customer Service: Yes, this is the 2014 model.

Ray: I'm not sure that is the correct answer you were provided. I bought the same helmet in June/2014 and it arrived quickly. I didn't noticed until our first game and during inspection, it was pointed out the manufacture dates says 2011 and the certification sticker wasn't even on the helmet which meant my son could not play. Good thing we had an extra "league" issued helmet laying around.

JR from Georgia asked:
What is the difference in weight between the Air XP Pro Youth vs. the regular Air XP youth?
Customer Service: The Youth Air XP Pro weighs 2.45 lbs compared to the Youth Air XP which weighs 2.7 lbs.

Alex from freamont ca asked:
does this come with the ion chinstrap like the elite helmet?
Customer Service: No, this helmet comes with a youth soft cup chinstrap.
