Under Armour 101 - A Guide to Buying Under Armour

Under Armour 101 - A Guide to Buying Under Armour

Evolution of An Idea

It started with a simple plan to make a superior T-shirt.  A shirt that provided compression and wicked perspiration off your skin rather than absorb it.  A shirt that worked with your body to regulate temperature and enhance performance.  From that first T-shirt nearly a decade ago, Under Armour® developed its unique line of microfiber gear and subsequently launched the performance apparel industry.

Today, the diverse Under Armour® gear lines are built to face all climates and conditions.  The Under Armor® brand is more than a logo, it's our guarantee:  Under Armour® is doing something for you.  Under Armour® is making you better.

Gear 101 - Under Armour Thermography

Heat Gear

Ideal Use - Extremely Warm Weather - For When It's Hot
Keeping athletes cool, dry and light.
Nearly a decade ago, HeatGear®, the original "second skin" layer, sparked the revolution of performance apparel and rendered cotton T-shirts obsolete.

All Season Gear

Ideal Use - Between the Extremes
    Keeping athletes dry and light.
AllSeasonGear® is made from radical fabrics that flex with changing weather conditions.  It's engineered with our Moisture Transport System to deliver core temperature regulation and maximum breathability.

Cold Gear

Ideal Use - Temperatures under 55°F - For When It's Cold
Keeping athletes warm, dry and light.
ColdGear® features a double-sided fabric that wicks moisture from the skin and circulates body heat.  It accomplishes the impossible by keeping athletes warm without weighing them down.

Fit Legend

Compression - Under Armor's trademark performance fit.  These products fit snugly to the body providing a close, lean, and supportive fit.

Fitted - A specialized fit, slightly shaped to taper with the body's shape, but without restriction or compression.

Loose - Generous cut product, providing full range of motion, and a full, loose fit.

LockerTag™ Technology - Under Armour® Locker Tag™ heatseals made awkward garment labels inside the shirt obsolete, and continue to fulfill their original purpose: displaying the owner's number clearly and stylishly on each piece of our performance apparel.

Size Chart - Under Armour has already compensated in the design of its apparel to be consistent with normal (S-XXXL) sizing.  Please order the size you would wear in a non-performance T-Shirt or pant.
