Buff Filter Face Mask

I was excited when I saw this mask. Finally, a mask that doesn't yank on my ears while wearing it. $23.16 is WAY more money than I normally pay for a mask, but this is supposed to be a 'sports' mask intended to be worn for extended periods of time. I looked around and found others for a little more, and some for a little less, so I decided to go with this one because I liked the design and the price was somewhere in the middle. That price shot up to $30.94 after adding the 'free' 2-day shipping "upgrade" that cost me $5.99 (so much for free). The mask finally arrived today 01/28/21 (so much for 2-day shipping). Moving on to the design, it's thin, very thin. I suppose you can say it has 2 layers, but only because the second layer is just to form a small pouch for the filter. Considering that Covid-19 is still ravaging large swaths of the world, I wouldn't wear this thing anywhere without a filter. The material is soft though, so I'll give it that, but the mask is so tight that it is uncomfortable to talk with it on. The thing constantly gets in your mouth. With the bottom strapped stretched completely out, it barely fits over my head. The top strap is fine, but the angle and position of the strap provide ZERO relief for my ears. In fact, it's actually WORSE than a normal around-the-ear mask. I attempted to adjust the to stop so that it was more vertical, but raises the top of the mask to just under my eyes. I checked to see if maybe I was sent the wrong size, but nope, adult. These must be made for tiny adults because there is no way that a 'normal' sized person can use this thing comfortably. It's a mess for a design. Fine, so it doesn't work for me. I'm sure it fits other people very well. I call customer service to return it and they were very pleasant and helpful. They suggested to send it back for a full refund. Great. So I drive to the nearest UPS store, check the price to ship it, and it comes back to almost $13.00. Seriously! That's more than half the price I bought the thing for, and almost half if you include the shipping! What a joke! Never again!
