Riddell SpeedFlex Adult Football Helmet

I play OLB for Oxford High School and used the helmet during spring training and didn't have a single problem the impact of hits feel like nothing its the best helmet I have ever worn.

I've played at *Nearly* every level that this sport has to offer, (Youth-HS-College, Ju-Co, D-2 and Semi professional) and have played TE - FB - DE - ILB and OLB. I'm currently still playing at the semi professional level, I'm 31 years old and I've never felt more secure with any single piece of headgear that I've owned. Yes it costs a bit more than the generic or older helmets, but when it comes to safety you really do get what you pay for. Adjustable liners are great for the "In-between" sizes of some players Twist and break away mask is added security just in-case something happens where they need the helmet off quickly. It feel's like second skin almost while its wrapped around your head, impressive "Shock absorption" I weigh 270 lbs, am 6'3 and run a 4.6 40yrd dash so I can bring a hit, but I don't feel like the helmet compromises in any way. Extended jaw area keeps the helmet snug to your head as well. I really can't say enough about this helmet, this and the new shoulder-pads i purchased from Sportsunlimitedinc (both suggested by Iknowfootball (youtube) have not disappointed I look forward to getting several more years of use out of them. 5 stars all around*****

Purchased helmet for my son for HS Frosh team. Compared to Riddell helmet school provided, this is light years ahead in safety and comfort. Fits like a glove because of the 5 air zones - it provides a great custom fit even at the jaw. Fairly light weight and withstands great contact. Son plays FB/TE and MLB, and he has not had a single issue with helmet.

I used all Riddell helmets from VSR-4, Revolution, Speed, Revolution 360 and now SpeedFlex and to be honnest, each new helmets created by Riddell is better than the previous one (except, maybe, for the Revolution 360). This Riddell SpeedFlex is very comfortable, very good looking, offers the best protection we can find on a Riddell helmet and very light. In addition, the new Ridell chinstrap technology is one of the biggest improvement we had since a long time. For me, long time Riddell user, it's the better helmet you can use today.

My son has been playing since he's about 7 - now that he's playing in HS, I wanted to make sure he had a really good helmet. Yea it may be expensive, but if you get it early in your career, it’s much worth the money. Most comfortable helmet I’ve ever had. Better than a regular speed.
