Xenith's next-level protection doesn't just apply to helmets. The same patented Aware-Flow Shock Absorbers that reduce the force of impacts in the company's helmets can also be found in the new Xenith Xflexion +Fly Youth Football Shoulder Pads . Made for players at all positions in youth, middle school and intermediate levels, these lightweight, low profile pads will help you to fly around the field. Floating sternum and spine plates can help absorb some of the force from tackles, as they'll shift upon impact. Additionally, a flexible shock cord enables each of the plates to move independently, further enforcing the impact absorbing power. Unrestricted shoulder plates allow for a full range of motion, while durable belts keep the pads in place.
  • FEATURES:
  • Designed for all positions at youth, middle school and intermediate levels

Get em
My son is 11 year old and plays QB and loves these pads. The size, fit and moveability are perfect for him, as they are for several of other players on our team that have the same pads. They are also light and very protective especially with the impact cups that are built in like the helmets. We highly recommend these pads for all positions especially skill positions.
ProsToo many to list, just get em

Great Set of Pads!!!!
I bought these for my son for the spring season here in Florida. He's the starting RB and MLB for his team and despite being only 7 is one of the biggest hitters on his 8u team. He absolutely loves the pads and the fact that they are so lightweight and keep him much cooler than the league issued set. Besides the function of the pads he seems to get a huge confidence boost every time he straps them up! The awesome look and expanded area of protection definitely gives him a mental edge over the other kids on the field. I would absolutely purchase these again and recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their equipment!!!!
ProsLightweight Extended protection in chest and back Belt style fasteners are a plus

Read into the poor reviews
These are the best youth pads out there for the money. The poor reviews are written by over protective parents who have never played the game so don't go off of the overall star rating alone. They provide more than enough protection, I'm in med school and the football injuries I've seen in the ED are always on kids who wear big clunky pads. You want your kid mobile out there and with his head on a swivel. You get full head range of motion and visibility with these which is what is most important. Lightweight does not mean cheap like some reviews seem to infer. Definitely pick these up for your kid, the days of using the biggest pads possible are over, this isn't the 1980's anymore.
ProsLightweight, low profile, allows maximum head/neck ROM, style, comfort, price

Great Shoulder Pad
Perfect youth shoulder pad for skill players for sure. 99% of the time, most people will purchase extra protection under the shoulder pads away ways, plus rib protection and back plate, this shoulder pad is light weight and pretty durable.
ProsLIGHT WEIGHT, AND PRETTY SOLID.
ConsSMALL SHOULDER PAD CUP, SHOULD BE A LITTLE BIGGER.

Fast shipping!!!
Just got my son his Exflexion Fly pads and they are a perfect fit. He a running back, QB, wide receiver, and defensive back so They're very light, flexible in arm movement and chest area. Pads aren't high on his shoulders to where he can't have head movement. We really like them as seen advertised. Now when season begins he'll put them to use and perhaps 4 star rating would be upgraded..to 5. The only thing, padding is a bit thin not much density to over all padding, but that's why its, "FLY" we will then see.
ProsLight weight, flexibility, not high on shoulders, great arm movement. Fit excellent overall!
ConsThin padding, more dense padding would be better for impact.

My son loves them!
My son played his season in Riddell Matte XS shoulder pads all season. I loved them. He then switched and started using his buddies extra pair of xenith shoulder pads. The way he moved on both sides of the ball were undeniably different. He wasn't as restricted as he was when he wore his riddell pads. He's got his pair under the tree already! Pray for his younger brothers! LOL

Not as durable as they seem and for how high they are rated.
I have already had to send these back to Xenith for a replacement after 6 weeks of my son wearing them about 7 hours per week. Thanks goodness I kept the receipt. Have gotten news ones shipped to me since then with no hassle.

Lightweight. Protects as advertised.
7 weeks and 3 games into our season and my son (QB/SS) loves them. Great arm mobility on offense and excellent hit absorption from SS. When combined with the back plate and rib protectors the protection and mobility are unrivaled as they all interconnect and move together. Very satisfied.
ProsPads move as advertised, offering incredible mobility - easily spotted on throws, high snaps and option pitches and fakes. Lightweight - pads + core guard are still lighter than the schutt pads they replaced. Protection has been as good (shoulders) and better (ribs and back) than the schutt pads and rib protectors they replaced.
ConsWith the backplate and rib protectors attached getting them on and off is a bigger ordeal than standard pads. Screws with the core guard will come loose. Would prefer they'd used a velcro fastening system Total system is expensive for youth pads Pads = 109.95 + Core Guard 49.95

These pads are a joke!!
I saw them in the local big box store. I will not be putting my kid in these pads. They don't feel sturdy at all. I was all excited to see them up until I picked them up off the rack.

Great Pads
These are really nice pads. My kid is a small guy that loves contact and hits big. He had no problem taking on boys nearly twice his size at his first camp a couple of weeks ago. He played with Riddell Revolution last year, but grew out of them. He loves the Xenith pads and says he can move better than ever. No problem with protection whatsoever in his first camp. We have another full contact camp this week, so will report back if pads become a problem.

I will buy another pair soon
These shoulder pads are great. They are a great buy for players that play both sides of the ball like me. I play sam linebacker and running back position. They are low profile and felt great after some huge hits

Love it!!
I haven't got to use it yet but when I put the pads on they felt great on me they are a little thinner than most but the protection is still there and I am a Db so the light weight and comfort is going to be awesome coming spring practice
ProsLight weight fair protection and low profile

Beware
Received the pads yesterday on time as ordered. Will be returning today as the padding in the back and sternum area is little to none. The shoulders seem adequate but the rest is questionable at best. Had high hopes as son really liked the look and low profile but protection does not seem to be there.
ProsLow profile Different look Light weight
ConsInadequate padding as compared to other youth pads

Don't waste your $
Absolutely the worst shoulder pad I've ever seen. The paper thin design isn't protecting anyone!
ProsLooks cool but looks don't keep your kids out of the ER!
ConsI received these shoulder pads today for my son. They are being returned today! There is no way that these pads protect like Zenith claims. Lightweight sure! Because they are paper thin. I truly believe that a tennis player would be at risk for serious injury using this product.
