Customer Question: How
do I find the best field hockey uniform for my team or organization? How
do I know which one is right for me?
SU Answer: We have a
huge variety of field hockey jerseys, shorts, skirts, kilts, and skorts,
in addition to our collection of pre-prepared complete jerseys. We love
that we have the ability to bring you this large selection, but we have
to admit that
it can be pretty overwhelming, especially if you've never bought team
uniforms before, and really don't know exactly what you're looking for.
Thankfully, we have an incredibly knowledgeable staff with years of
experience helping coaches, captains, and parents buy for their teams,
so you should know that you're in good hands with Sports Unlimited.
First, let's narrow down your decision by defining exactly what your
needs are:
- What's the age or age group of your team or organization?
- Are you looking for youth, men's or women's uniforms or apparel?
- Would you like your uniforms customized with your team name and
player numbers, or would you prefer blank uniforms?
- What is your average price range? What would you prefer
to spend per team, or per uniform?
By answering these questions for yourself, you can narrow down our
large selection by age group, gender, and price, which should hopefully
give you a better idea of which uniform or group of uniforms would work for you. As always,

Customer Question: How do I
choose a field hockey stick for me or my team?
SU Answer: Field hockey
sticks are a tricky bit of equipment, different from most sports.
Typically, the more money you spend on a piece of equipment, the better
it is for you and your game. This isn't the case with field hockey
sticks. True, the more expensive sticks are lighter and stronger than
their cheaper colleagues, but this doesn't necessarily mean they are
better for you individual game. Thankfully, to make things easy for you,
we have created a detailed Field Hockey Stick Buying Guide. Give it a
once over, and understand which field hockey player level you fall
under, and you'll be prepared to find the field hockey stick that
matches your needs perfectly!
Customer Question: What kind of
fonts can I choose from for screen printing my team name and/or player number?
SU Answer: We offer all
of the most popular fonts,
but if you cannot find what you need, or have another font in mind,
please forward us a copy and we can typically replicate it without a
problem.
Customer Question:
What's the minimum number of custom field hockey uniforms, shorts,
skirts, skorts, or
jerseys I can order?
SU Answer: Because of
high screen printing costs, we typically suggest a 12 uniform minimum.
Screen printing charges with our screen printers are the same for one
jersey as they are for 12, so we use this minimum to help save you some
money when customizing team jerseys. After all, why get five uniforms
customized when you could pay the same and get 12? Under certain
circumstances, we can lower the minimum to 10 or 8, but there are
typically up-charges associated with that.
We always encourage our customers ordering custom uniforms to order
extra, in case players are added before the season starts, or during the
season itself.
Customer Question: If I want to
put my team, school, or organization logo on our field hockey jersey or uniform, how
do I go about doing that?
SU Answer: The best way
to add your logo to a custom uniform is to send us exactly what you'd
like on the uniform, in a file, via email. Please format the file as one
of the following, for ease of use:
- JPEG (.jpg)
- BMP (.bmp)
- GIF (.gif)
- TIFF (.tiff)
In the email, or in a call to 1-800-693-6368 ext 4, please let
us known exactly where you'd want it to appear on the uniform, and how
you would like your team name to be positioned. Please note, there will
be an art charge associated with any logo.

check the status of my order?
SU Answer: The best way
to check on the status of your order is to call the team department at
1-800-693-6368 ext 4, and ask for the team member who took your order. If it would be easier, or if it is after office hours, please send an email to one of the following addresses:
Customer Question: Do you accept
rush or last-minute custom uniform order?
SU Answer: Yes, we
always try our absolute best to get rush orders processed. Due to
stocking issues and time constraints, though, it may not always be
possible. If your order is needed in less than two weeks, we
still may be able to get it done for you. Please call us at
1-800-693-6368 ext 4 immediately and ask. We'll never accept an
order if we can't get it to you when needed. Please note, a rush fee may
apply.
