70 pounds of hurt coming your way and he's worn a DNA pro + for three seasons. Other kids complained about fit and weight, he never did. Had it reconditioned professionally each year, came back good as new. Looking to get another because he finally grew!!!!
Highly recommend this helmet for the smaller guys

My son who is 8yrs old put on this helmet for the first time and never took it off he said it was so comfortable, while the other kids were complaining there head hurt highly recommend this helmet for the little ones!!

I love this helmet,this helmet is worth the money but the only problem was that it doesn`t come with the facemask,but I still give it 5 stars because compared to my other helmet I used to come home with headaches and a sore forehead.

Bought for my son(3rd Grade) as an upgrade to the football helmets provided by the park. Did a lot of research before purchase. I felt like this helmet gave the most protection for the money of all the helmets on the market. We are very pleased with the performance thus far.

So, I bought this helmet for my young son since the ones they issue arent that great. This helmet is perfect. Great protection and very affordable!
I purchased the ION 4d at first, however, returned it. That too was a nice helmet, however, the price difference and the helmet differences (or lack there of!) between the two wasnt worth the extra $l.
Sports Unlimited is listed on Schutts website as a dealer and they definatly have the best price!

Bought this as an upgrade to my son's DNA Recruit from last year after several collisions left his forehead bruised. Just by squeezing the pads, you can feel the improved cushioning - which is the highest rated made by Schutt (even over the ION, strangely.)

Though not top of the line, this helmet is a great improvement over base line products with an affordable price tag. I have 2 sons using this helmet, 1 running back, 1 wing back, both are outside linebackers. They like the improved less felt impact forces and it allows good airflow. However, it is noticeably heavier than baseline models.

We were extremely disappointed. We will be returning the helmet as it has been extremely uncomfortable for my son who has been playing football for 6 years. We have tried inflating and deflating to the very least and this helmet is still not comfortable, he tried wearing it hoping it just needed to be broken in but this did not make a difference. Presently my son has gone back to wearing his small, DNA Recruit which is much more comfortable. We will continue using this helmet for the remainder of the season. We were really disappointed. Helmet seemed highly over-rated

I picked the DNA pro+ because the studies we saw rated it the best or one of the best for protection and it was reasonably priced. Helmet fits my son comfortably and he likes it. The ear pads detach easily but not a big deal. When first looking for a helmet, my son wanted the Xenith because everyone said it was the cool helmet to get. All the kids on his team that have the DNA pro+ are happy with it while some of the kids that purchased the Xenith for much more money are having issues with the fit and comfort of theirs. We're glad we went with quality and value.

This is a very high quality helmet. My son, who plays aggressively, used to complain about discomfort and occasionally would get his "bell rung" with the league issued helmet (a low end Schutt helmet). With this helmet, both those problems are gone. He loves it, and I do too. I can highly recommend it for Jr. High level and down.

fits well. good quality. i havent received my facemask yet so i can't tell you how that is. football season hasnt started. so i can't tell you how well it has performed. i do wish they would let us have some time to really use the item before we give a review. still. it got here quickly and with all accompanying assundries.

Excellent helmet, my son loves it and it was comfortable right out of the box - no break-in time required. Also, the air fit system made it easy to adjust for a perfect fit.
My only issue is that it did not come with a facemask and the plastic snaps on the chin strap don't work very well.
Overall a great helmet at a great price.
