Featuring the same heavy-duty construction used in hammer cages, this discus cage provides exceptional stability and long-term reliability for high school throwing programs.
The cage utilizes seven 14-foot-tall rolled aluminum net poles constructed from 4" outside diameter, .218" thick-wall 6063-T6 aluminum, delivering superior strength while maintaining corrosion resistance. Each pole installs securely into 36" deep ground sleeves, creating a stable foundation capable of withstanding heavy use and challenging weather conditions.
To ensure safety and proper performance, the cage includes a 180 lb. test weather-treated nylon net designed for extended service life. A vinyl-coated steel support cable helps reduce sag and maintain proper net tension, while ground-level net arms hold the net securely in position at the front of the cage.
