The Gill Athletics Hammer Conversion Circle provides a simple, efficient solution for converting an existing discus circle into a regulation hammer throw circle. Designed for versatility and ease of use, this system allows single-circle hammer cages to be used for both hammer and discus competition, maximizing facility flexibility without the need for permanent modifications.
Constructed from ¾" thick white expanded PVC plastic, the conversion circle offers excellent durability while remaining lightweight for easy handling. The system consists of seven interlocking sections that fit together to form a solid, stable ring. The design allows for quick installation and removal, making it ideal for facilities that host multiple throwing events.
In accordance with World Athletics (IAAF) rules, the inside diameter of a discus circle must measure 2.5 meters ± 5 mm. The outside diameter of the Gill Athletics conversion circle is manufactured to the small side of the IAAF tolerance, ensuring a precise, secure fit within existing regulation discus circles.
