The Gill Athletics Sand Pit Perimeter Pad provides essential protection for long and triple jump facilities by cushioning the hard edges surrounding the sand pit. Designed to sit securely on the ledge of the pit, this padding helps protect athletes from contact with exposed metal or concrete edges during takeoff and landing.
Each pad is constructed with 1.5 inch polyethylene foam encased in durable 20 oz outdoor formulated polyester coated vinyl. The interior foam is closed cell, meaning it will not absorb water or degrade from water exposure, making it ideal for outdoor use in varying weather conditions.
Standard pads measure 36 inches long and extend 6 inches in either direction to provide consistent coverage along the pit perimeter. Integrated hook and loop connections allow multiple pads to be joined together, creating a continuous, seamless line of protection around the sand pit.
