WAY better than the (higher cost) Grit Flex bag!
The Grit HTFX 36" equipment bag is my ideal choice for a wheeled hockey bag. Being a lifelong ice hockey player who skates year round, I put my equipment (and bags) through a lot of wear and tear. I switched from the Shock Doctor wheeled bags to Grits when Shock Doctor stopped making bags and found that the Grits usually hold out for 2-3 seasons. My last purchase was the high end Flex bag which ended up being a big disappointment- the flexible frame and light weight often caused the bag to easily tip over if I had too much stuff in the beverage, accessory side of the bag. In addition, the support rods are starting to tear through the bottom and sides of the bag.
The HTFX has a more solid frame and appears to be much more durable-exactly what I need as our team prepares to head out to Toronto for the national championship!
ProsLightweight but rugged. Good cross ventilation and appears to be far more durable than the more expensive Grit Flex which I previously had. I was also able to swap out the Grit Flex exterior pocket (which has an insulated bottle holder section) so I now have the best of both worlds!
P.S: service at Sports Unlimited was phenomenal saving me $15 and shipping costs from all other retailers!
ConsNone that I can see thus far.
