Dakine was started in 1979 by Rob Kaplan, as a
surf accessory company in Hawaii. The saying "DA KINE" existed long before that and comes from
Local Hawaiian slang called "Pidgen". Dakine can mean anything: "the place",
"that guy", "that stuff I was supposed to bring". It doesn't make a
whole lot of sense but slang hardly ever does. Dakine now produces top
of the line backpacks for surfing, skateboarding, windsurfing, skiing and
snowboarding. Many Dakine backpacks are able to carry skis,
snowboards, and skateboards on the the backpack. The Dakine surf
backpacks have a removable seam sealed wetsuit/board
short bag that allows you to keep your wet stuff away from your dry stuff
while cruising the beach. Dakine surf backpacks also have a tarp lined
wax pocket. Most Dakine backpacks feature fleece lined sunglasses
pockets, insulated cooler pockets for drinks, and padded laptop
compartments. We offer FREE SHIPPING on all Dakine backpacks over $35.
Dakine backpacks have stylish designs that will have everyone asking where
you got your backpack. Tell them you "got 'em at Dakine". |
