The WD Horseshoe Co. Challenger Horseshoes feature a square shape instead of a curve, allowing for a wider gripping area for flip pitchers than a traditionally shaped shoe. With a generic U-shaped shoe, +the turn pitcher has an advantage over a flip pitcher in that they have more room along the blade of the shoe to adjust their grip. As you can see by its shape, when pitching with the Challengers, no one has that gripping advantage. It has excellent balance and is easy for just about anyone to pick up and throw with little or no practice in advance. Great for team play when one player throws a flip and the other throws a turn. Sold in pairs.

Wanted a good pair of shoes
I bought two pair of these shoes. I put on tournaments at a camp ground I stay at all summer. Plus a group of us play every weekend. Some people loved them. Some others didn't at first only because they where used to the cheap set they had. But after playing a couple of games and getting ringers. They change their minds. Myself I had a hard time to find the right spot to hold them. But now I found it and I'm now ordering 2 more sets. Because everyone wants the same type of shoes when we play a tournament. They do get burrs but not very often. Which touch up easy.
